Arts

The annual arts project is a collaborative initiative of the Alcorso Foundation to develop an arts/performance project to reach a wider audience, engage families, and providing professional development and exposure for Tasmanian based arts professionals.
The project will be launched at the MONA FOMA festival in January 2013 and incorporate follow-on activities that will take place in underutilised city spaces across Hobart's city.
The annual arts project’s primary aims are to be

    • accessible
    • engaging
    • exploratory
    • fun – and free.

The Alcorso Foundation has worked closely with MONA FOMA over the past three years bringing exciting international projects to Tasmania.  This year the Alcorso/MOFO partnership will bring an exciting project to the festival that incorporates all art forms: visual, performance, video, and music creating a fusion of interactive and participatory experience for a wide audience.  More information on this project will be available as we draw closer to the 2013 MOFO festival.
